It is surprising that it comes with the same hardware that powers the Micromax A116. However the aluminium casing that surrounds the edges does look good and also help in signal reception. The phone is light in weight but does feel a bit plasticky.
It comes equipped with a 13 MP rear camera which should provide some good quality snaps. 1080p video recording is another bonus. The front side features a 5 MP camera. The overall camera quality needs to be tested and we will cover that in our full review. Camera features include 6+ face detection, Scene mode, 99 Continuous (Burst) mode, Smile detection, Photo-solid, High Dynamic Range Synthesis, 4 direction Panorama, Effects Library, Geo-tagging and Touch focus.
Another interesting feature is that the phone can be unlocked by blowing air! A good concept to unlock the phone but lets see how many actually make use of it.
Since the screen is of IPS variant, the viewing angles are good. The touch experience is great and the overall UI feels nice and smooth.
Internal free storage space is around 10 GB, expandable up-to 32 GB.Going Galaxy S4 style, this phone also features look away to pause video.
Pricing is key and we feel its priced a tad higher than expected at Rs 18,000 so it may be susceptible to stiff competition. Do stay tuned for a full detailed review of the Micromax Canvas 4. Feel free to ask any questions.
