Motorola has officialy launched the Moto G exclusively on online stores like flipkart in India today at a price of Rs 12,499 for the 8GB variant and Rs 13,999 for the 16GB storage variant. There’s a ray of hope for all those who have been worried about the MotoG India launch plans after Google announced the sale of Motorola to Lenovo.
The Motorola phone will be initially sold only on online stores as the company’s plan to setup distribution in brick-and-mortar stores, with the help of partners Ingram Micro and Redington, has reportedly failed.
Motorola’s mid-range smartphone Moto G sports a 4.5-inch HD (1270x720p) LCD screen with 329 ppi (pixels per inch) pixel density. The phone is confirmed to ship with the dual-SIM slots and run on the new Android v4.3 Jelly Bean (with guarantee of KitKat v4.4 OS update soon after the release).
Under the hood, it houses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 series quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8G/16GB, 5.0-megapixel main camera, 1.3-megapixel front camera and 2,070 mAh.
