Processor, GPU, RAM
Well, processor is considered as brain of the smartphone. The performance of the smartphone depends on the processor, up to large extent.
Here, the Moto One Fusion Plus comes equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SOC, which is a octa core processor, manufactured on 7nm technology. Out of the 8 Cores, 2 Cores are Kryo 470 Gold based on Cortex A76 Microarchitecture, clocked at 2.3GHz and other 6 Cores are Kryo 470 Silver, based on Cortex A55, with base freuency of 1.8GHz. This device comes with Mali G72 GPU and 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM.
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy M31 have a Exynos 9611 SOC, which is again 8-Core SOC, fabricated with 10nm technology. These are divided into 2 equal number of cores stacks. 4 Cores are based on Cortex A73 Microarchitecture, Clocked at 2.2GHz and another 4 Cores are based on Cortex A53, Clocked at 1.7GHz. What drives the display is Adreno 618 GPU. Also, Galaxy M21 is having LPDDR4 RAM with 6GB and 8GB options.
WINNER – Both of the phones are equipped with latest SOCs. You can’t notice any performance difference between the both. M31 is based on newer microarchitecture whereas SD 730G is based on slightly old (7-8 Months old) Microarchitecture. Also, i would like to add 730G is fabricated with 7nm technology and M31’s SOC is fabricated with 10nm technology. Power consumption and heat production of both the processors are very much closer.
Display – Galaxy M31 is the Beast
Whatever is processed in the background is displayed with the help of display panel. The quality of display plays an important role in order to get a good user experience.
Samsung Galaxy M31 wins in terms of display. It comes with a 6.4 Inches Super Amoled Panel, whose resolution is 1080×2340. The pixel density is going to be 403 ppi. There is also Gorilla Glass 3 Protection. Moto One Fusion Plus comes with a 6.5″ IPS LCD panel with LED Backlight. The pixel density is reduced to 396 ppi and resolution is going to be same .
